Black Hawk Down tries to make you feel like you’re in the middle of a war zone, and it kinda does that. Among the hunger and fighting, you move through poor towns with civilians and armed bad guys. Some civilians even throw rocks and yell at you to go away. The missions have a bit of variety, like securing weapons, attacking strongholds, blowing up bridges, and joining in a big fight at the end–but when you play them, they’re either too easy or too hard.
Delta Force Black Hawk Down Torrent looks better than older Delta Force games. It’s not as good-looking as some other games, but it has good outdoor lighting and environments. Somali towns look old and beat up, with broken windows and rusty roofs. The water looks good too, reflecting sunlight and moving under helicopter blades. Sometimes the game’s graphics are really impressive, especially in big outdoor fights. Bullets kick up sand and knock leaves off trees, and vehicles explode in cool ways.
